Sunshines I can't believe Valentine's Day is this week! For all you singles this year, we will not focus on the fact that we don't have a Valentine. Instead, we are going to embrace and appreciate that we have this time to work on ourselves. While we are working on ourselves, we are going to enjoy it! Some exciting things you can for Valentine's Day is obviously to do some self-care, entertainment, and trying something new.
What Singles Can Do This Valentine's Day
Self-Care
The most important activity on Valentine's Day, in my opinion, is to take care of yourself. This means you doing some self-care. You can start off with a lovely face mask. I especially love the Summer Fridays Overtime mask, and Versed Photos Please Brightening mask. These masks will make you feel so relaxed. Then you can start yourself with an enjoyable bubble bath. Make sure you get a bath bomb that has one of your favorite scents. I've tried a bath bomb that has some rocks/salts. One thing you can add to your fantastic self-care day is a soothing smelling candle. You could also try a candle with mixed scents like Pineapple Sage. This scent is the perfect mix of tropical and relaxing. I highly recommend this scent. Finally, try a foot mask and then paint your nails with V-Day themed colors.
Entertainment
Secondly, who doesn't want to do something fun on a holiday? You can celebrate your singlehood with entertainment. Some fun things you can do is watch a movie, play online games, and paint or draw. I would not watch a romantic film but instead watch a drama, comedy, or action film. Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon Prime are the best places to find new movies. The last movie I watched is Enola Holmes on Netflix you should check it out. I know some of y'all like playing games online. Some of y'all like Candy Crush, chess, or even Fornite. Whatever game you are in to enjoy it and have fun!
Lastly, put on a good painting/drawing YouTube video to follow along. The footage might actually take you a while so that you can catch every step of the painting/drawing. One of my friends painted along with a YouTube video, and it came out really good. Here is the step by step tutorial video link called Couple's Painting. Although it is for couples you definitely do it on your own.
Trying New Things
Finally, it is your opportunity to try something new on your own, with friends or family. For instance, do online cooking class, try a new fashion trend and new makeup look. If you can't afford a cooking class, just pop on a YouTube tutorial. On YouTube, there are so many good recipes for all types of foods that you could try. I would try something with seafood, Italian, or Asian foods. Whatever your preference, try something new, and it will come out good.
I also highly recommend trying a fashion trend that you always wanted to try. Put that cute puffy shoulder blouse. Or if you are more classic, try the trend with button downs. Then, try on that new makeup trend that you find cute, like a bold pink lipstick with your super cute outfit. We all want to look good for ourselves on V-day, so why not go all out!
